The Harvard Museum of Natural History presents a weekend afternoon program for middle-school children and their families. Renowned authors, Harvard faculty, and other scientists offer educational and entertaining presentations on their latest work. In this session we'll hear from Paleontologist Dr. Kirk Johnson of the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
Dr. Johnson will make a presentation on his team's work in Snowmass Village, the massive site in the Colorado Rockies where his team has recently unearthed a treasure trove of over 5,000 fossils of Ice Age animals—including mastodons, Columbian mammoth, Jefferson’s ground sloth, giant bison, camels, and other species.
