Breastfeeding Classes are taught by Anna Jaques Hospital Lactation Consultants for mothers and their support person(s) to gain the knowledge and tools to help you successfully breast your baby.
Topics covered include:
- Benefits to mother and baby
- Basic anatomy and physiology
- Myths vs. facts
- Positioning and latching-on
- Common concerns
- Pumping and storing breast milk
- Community resources and supports available once home with baby
Details: Mondays from 2:00pm-4:00pm in the conference room above Women's Health Care located at 2 Water Street, Haverhill.
Plan to attend when you are 7-8 months pregnant, but register early!
Cost: $20 (includes mom & support person).
