Franklin Park Zoo events for NorthShore Children

Children throughout New England are invited to trick-or-treat among the animals. Thrills, chills and animals lurk around every corner on the Trick-or-Treat Trail. Throughout the day, guests will learn about the importance of enrichment, as they watch as many of the animals receive pumpkins, generously donated by Whole Foods Market Jamaica Plain, as enrichment items.

Haunted happenings include:

  • Creepy crafts
  • Ghoulish games
  • Costume contests, 12:00 and 2:00 p.m.
  • Haunted maze

Watch animals receive pumpkin enrichment, and learn more about a few of these amazing creatures during scheduled Zookeeper Encounters:

  • 10:00 a.m. – Tiger Enrichment
  • 10:15 a.m. – Bongo and Red River Hog Enrichment & Zookeeper Encounter
  • 10:15 a.m. – Gorilla Enrichment & Zookeeper Encounter
  • 10:45 a.m. – African Crested Porcupine Enrichment & Zookeeper Encounter
  • 11:00 a.m. – Pygmy Hippo Enrichment
  • 11:30 a.m. – Baird’s Tapir Enrichment
  • 1:00 p.m. – Kea Enrichment & Zookeeper Encounter
  • 1:30 p.m. – Andean Condor Enrichment & Zookeeper Encounter
  • 2:00 p.m. – Red Panda Enrichment & Zookeeper Encounter
  • 2:30 p.m. – Cow & Guinea Hog & Zookeeper Encounter

General admission rates apply to Halloween events. Zoo admission is free to all members.
