The Greater Beverly YMCA Rhino 10K was born from the Rhino Relay established by the Rhino Run Club at Old Planters Brewing located in downtown Beverly, MA. Soon after the Rhino Run Club was created, the COVID-9 pandemic hit leaving the runners unable to get together in person. Feeling a bit defeated and helpless during this time, the Rhinos decided to create a virtual relay event to support Beverly Hospital by raising funds for much needed PPE supplies. The community response was so great that the Rhino Relay continued for two more years following the initial race. In the past three years, the relay generated more than $30,000 for local and international causes.
