Have you ever had a moment in the woods that felt a little bit mystical? It could be a feeling of connectedness or a sighting of something unusual, like the mini beasts that make the forest their home. The Trustees wants to bring you closer to these fantastical elements of the forest with this self-guided outdoor trail at Ward Reservation in Andover.
Say goodbye to the cold and celebrate the arrival of warmer weather at Appleton Farms! While we often associate eggs with the Easter Bunny, in many cultures eggs symbolize new life and are tied with the coming of spring. At this event, we celebrate spring, new life on the farm, and the bounty of fresh eggs produced by our hens. Go on the Egg-cellent Quest around the farm and learn about the journey from egg to chicken, collecting Easter eggs at each station to complete the Quest! Enjoy homemade refreshments in our Carriage Barn, visit with our, bunnies, sheep, chickens and goats and play games in the stone paddock!
Springtime is a busy time in a garden. The bugs, birds and butterflies at The Stevens-Coolidge Place are ready to get to work planting seeds and spreading pollen, but first they need your help! In this program, participating children are on a hunt to find these garden workers resting inside their eggs throughout the property. Bring your own egg carton (sorry no bags allowed) to collect 12 eggs, then enjoy a craft time, story and seed planting to learn about how our garden grows and celebrate all things spring!
